Niall Murphy is an entrepreneur, investor and technologist who has built pioneering businesses in internet and mobile internet networks, digital twins and traceability for consumer products, and e-commerce logistics, operating in Europe, the US and Africa. He has been named a World Economic Forum Global Innovator and a Fast Company World Changing Ideas award winner. Murphy founded and served as CEO of item traceability platform EVRYTHNG (acquired by Digimarc) and co-founded pan-European Wi-Fi network The Cloud (acquired by Sky). Most recently, he led the turnaround of American Eagle Outfitters Inc.’s e-commerce logistics venture, Quiet Platforms. Murphy serves on the advisory boards of blockchain network IOTA, space-based data center startup Lonestar and on-demand manufacturer DXM. His patents and inventions include originating the upgrade to the global barcode standard giving every product a web address, standardized by GS1.
