Janie Yu is a partner at LFX Venture Partners, a venture capital fund that focuses on investing in innovative technologies and disruptive business models in global supply chain, logistics and commerce. A seasoned investor with 15+ years of experience investing in global value chains, Janie and her team leverage their domain knowledge and an extensive network of global value chain partners to make educated investments and help make them winners in their markets.

Guided by our mission, our investment theses are centered around AI applications, sustainability, data infrastructure, workflow automation and optimization in global value chains. Prior to becoming an investor, Janie was with Burt’s Bees, focusing on driving international growth, where she gained the appreciation and foundational knowledgeable on how technology could truly drive business growth and the greater good. Before starting her business career, she was a journalist for BBC and PRI’s “The World”, reporting in China.
Janie is a regular speaker at industry conferences and events, such as Shoptalk, Manifest, Global Fashion Summit, Plug and Play Retail Summit. She also enjoys lecturing at The Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. Janie serves on the Innovation Advisory Council for the National Retail Federation and is an advisor for the New York Fashion Tech Lab. She is an inaugural member of the Retail Influencer Network and DealMakhers.
Janie obtained her M.A. degree from Harvard University, where she received the prestigious Fung Fellowship, sponsored by the Victor and William Fung Foundation. Janie grew up in China and received her B.A. in journalism from Communications University of China, graduating with first-class honor.
